Thirtytwo Fit Guide
Thirtytwo jackets, sportswear and tops come in a number of different 'fits'. Check the product description on the item to see which fit applies.
- Regular Fit: This is a classic/standard fit, designed to provide space for layering whilst maintaining a stylish look.
- Mid Fit: Similar to a regular fit however this has an inch longer in length.
- Long Fit: This is the same chest fit as a regular but adds an extra 4 inches in length to give that park style longer fit.
In Our Opinion:
Thirtytwo ski & snowboard jackets, sportswear and tops tend to fit very closely to the size chart above, so for a good fit, please go by these measurements. If you want a baggy look and feel, go for a size larger or a different fit. We are confident in the fit of these garments because:
- We have tried the jackets on ourselves, in a full range of models and sizes.
- We monitor customer returns.
- We see customers wearing the jackets in our Snowboard/Ski Shop
- We have been selling them for years!
When trying on garments, please allow for:
- The wearing of mid and / or base layers beneath the jacket
- The freedom of movement required for skiing, snowboarding and other outdoor activities
- The cut and style of the jacket
- The insulation which may or may not be included in a particular jacket
All of the above will differ depending on a jacket's specific design. A jacket's physical dimensions will always be significantly greater than your actual chest measurement but this difference will also vary from jacket to jacket. We strongly recommend that you never measure a jacket to determine the chest size you need.
How to Measure Yourself
- • Wear just an undergarment or nothing at all.
- • Stand up straight with your arms hanging by your sides
- • Breath normally and run a soft tape measure under your arm pits over the largest part of your chest and across your shoulder blades.
- • The tape measure should be snug, but not tight.
- • For your inseam, make sure you measure from the floor up.
Thirtytwo Trousers, Shorts & Underwear
In order to determine the correct trouser, shorts and underwear size, you need to consider a few different measurements for men and women. These apply to all outdoor trousers, ski and snowboard pants and any item worn on the bottom half of your body.

The waistband size, as physically measured on a pair of pants, will rarely be the same as that quoted by the manufacturer because the manufacturer quotes the waist measurement of the person the pants are designed to fit and the waistband rarely aligns with a person's natural waist line.
If a manufacturer quotes a 34" waist, the pants should fit you if you have a 34 inch waist but the waist band on the pants, depending on the cut of the pants, may not actually be 34 inches. Please be aware of waist adjusters and built-in belts. If you decide to wear impact shorts, you might need to go up a size to make sure they fit under your trousers.
When you measure the inseam on a pair of snowboard or ski pants, it should be similar to your own inside leg measurement but people often wear snowboard or ski pants with shorter inseams than their inside leg measurement or their normal fashion trousers because:
1. Snowboard and ski boots are bulky and rise up your leg a fair way.
2. It's the fashion to wear your pants with the crotch low down towards your knees so, if you are one of these people, the inside leg measurement makes precious little difference.
3. People also wear pants with extra long legs if they like the bunched up look.

How to Measure Your Hands
Wrist Guards?
If you plan on wearing wrist guards under your standard gloves, then you will need to go for one size larger than you measure up to, in order for the wrist guard to fit comfortably under the glove
If the gloves you are looking to purchase include an integrated wrist guard, the brand will adjust the size of the glove accordingly to accommodate this. Please use the size chart above to determine the correct size for you.
BRAND Helmets and Headwear
A correct fitting helmet is incredibly important. It ensures that the helmet functions as designed and offers the best level of protection possible. Because no two helmet manufacturers make their helmets the same it is important to measure your actual head size in centimetres and inches (a small in one brand may be a medium in another). Follow the instructions below to ensure that you get the right size and correctly fitting helmet. Remember, it's all about protecting your head.
How to measure your head
Measure around your head using a soft tape measure. Ensure the tape passes across the centre of the forehead, above the ears and over the natural bump at the back of the head. Allow 1cm extra for long or thick hair, or if you intend to wear a beanie or balaclava under the helmet. If you are at the top end of any of the sizes, we advise going for the larger size to accommodate different head shapes. If your head is exactly the same circumference as the helmet, because your head is unlikely to be the exact shape of the helmet it's unlikely to fit perfectly so a larger size will fit better. There is no substitute for coming into store to try on a helmet! Our store location can be found HERE. If you are unable to make it to our store to try on a helmet we suggest buying two different sizes and returning whichever size does not fit. Our returns policy can be found HERE

BRAND Trainers, Boots and other Footwear
When purchasing ski boots and sometimes snowboard boots, we strongly recommend using the 'Mondo' measuring system, rather than your normal shoe size. The Mondo scale is dead easy! Mondo 30.0 means the footbed liner or insole of your shoe is exactly 30cm long. Some manufacturers call it Mondo 300 but this simply means your insole is 300mm long so is exactly the same.
The mondo point scale was invented in Japan so it is sometimes also referred to as Japanese sizing. To work out what boot size you need using the mondo scale, simply find a pair of snowboard boots that fit you well and either look at the MP size quoted on the size label or remove the insole. If you do not have boots, a comfy pair of trainers will work. Measure the insole using a steal measuring tape measuring from the extreme tip of the toe to the extreme tip of the heel. The measurement will ALWAYS be exact to the nearest 5mm. You will never get 30.2 or 28.8. It will always be 30.0 exactly. This is your mondo shoe or boot size. This is the standard footwear conversions for Mondo, UK, USA and EU for both men and women.
PLEASE NOTE - All fotwear is listed in UK sizes on our site.

BRAND Backpacks
Backpacks can come in various shapes, sizes and volumes. To find your perfect backpack size, it's best to measure the length of your back and this in turn will bring you longer lasting comfort. The size of your backpack is important for your safety and that's why many brands have developed backpacks in different sizes for different back lengths. The actual volume of the bag stays the same but the design has been adapted for different back lengths. These three steps provide all the information on how to determine the perfect size and shape for your backpack.
Many of you like to get away from the crowds and head to the hills or mountains. Only gear that fits properly can protect the body perfectly. So, a lot of brands make backpacks in different sizes.
• SHORT (S) is perfect for a back length of 36 – 44 cm and a height of approx. 150 – 175 cm.
• REGULAR for a back length of 42 – 50 cm and a height of approx. 170 – 195 cm.
• LONG (L) for a back length of 47 – 56 cm and a height of approx. 180 – 210 cm.

How to Determine Your Back Length
BRAND Ski & Snowboard Goggles
There are many different shapes and sizes of ski & snowboard goggles to choose from and one may fit your face better than others. The frames of your ski and snowboard goggles have the biggest influence on the fit and depth of view that they provide. While goggle frames come in all shapes and sizes, they basically have three jobs: Hold your lens in one place, keep the snow out, and make your face as comfortable as possible whilst protecting your eyes from the glare. Any frame should be able to handle the first two jobs, so the important part is how it fits you.
Here are a few important factors to keep in mind: Many adults can fit into many different shapes and sizes of goggles, but here are some of our general guidelines. A simple way to think about frame size is that it can, more times than others, reflect in correlation with the size of your head. So, if you wear a small helmet, the chances are you will need a smaller frame, if you wear a large or extra-large helmet, you'll want to consider a larger frame and medium to large helmet consider a medium frame size. Here are some other ways to think about frame size:
• Large frame ski and snowboard goggles - Size does matter, and not just because of the fit of the goggles. Many brands are producing large or oversized goggles with the idea of providing more peripheral vision. Wearing a larger goggle will provide you with more lens for the amount of frame, helping you get the fuller picture of what goes on around you whilst on the mountain.
Not everyone is suited to a large, oversized goggle and one thing to remember is whether it is compatible to your helmet. This style give you a bigger field of vision both horizontally and vertically, which translates into better peripheral vision and a better view of what is above and below you. If you’re hitting kickers in the park, a thinner frame also has its advantages as it allows you to keep your eye on the ground better when in the air. Even if you are just sticking to the easy slopes, increased peripheral vision allows you to see hazards before they become an issue and help you be more aware.
• Medium frame ski and snowboard goggles - Medium sized frames will fit most people. It's also good to bare in mind that most goggles are essentially unisex, apart from color schemes and shapes.
