The Boarding Company is VAT registered no. 873290605
All references to the company, us, I, we or 'our' shall mean The Boarding Company Limited.
All references to the customer or you shall mean the person or persons visiting one of our website or premises or purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods from The Boarding Company Limited.
All references to the website shall include reference to all domains owned by The Boarding Company Limited.
By using any of our websites or by making a purchase from The Boarding Company Limited, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
All transactions with The Boarding Company Limited will be governed by these terms and conditions, whether executed online, by e-mail, fax, telephone, in person or by post.
All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.
Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated.
Every effort is made to ensure the colours depicted on our websites match as closely as possible those of the actual products. Differences may be apparent on some screens due to the technical properties of the screen. Natural lighting conditions vary enormously depending on the weather and the position of the sun, causing the same colour to appear to be different. Our photo studio lighting aims to pick a mid point. For these reasons we are unable to guarantee that the colours of products depicted on our website will precisely match the colour of the products you receive.
Product specifications are checked to the best of our ability and, whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter product specifications without notice.
The Boarding Company Limited accepts no liability for any loss or injury caused to individuals, property, possessions or third parties by the breakage (accidental, deliberate or otherwise) or misuse or manufacturing or design fault of any product supplied by us.
If we sell out of a product or are unable to supply you with a product you have purchased, we will offer you alternative products or provide a full refund. We shall not be liable for any compensation claims for any breach of contract or any consequential losses or inconvenience you may have incurred.
If we customise a product or custom build a product to your specific requirements - such as but not limited to the mounting of ski bindings, the applying of grip tape to a skateboard deck, altering any product to your specifications you will not be able to cancel your order or to return the goods for a refund after the work has begun. As such you forgo your right to cancel your order.
Mounting of Ski Bindings
You must take your skis to a qualified ski technician to fine tune the precise boot to bindings fit before you go skiing.
You must ensure the mounting information you provide is correct. Refunds will not be given if you provide incorrect mounting information.
You will not be able to cancel your order or to return the skis or bindings for a refund after the mounting service has begun.
You understand and accept that your skis and bindings must be properly maintained and inspected prior to each use.
We accept no responsibility for any injury or damage caused to the skier, their equipment or others due to the set-up and mounting of bindings.
All prices include UK VAT at the current rate, where and when applicable.
All prices, invoices, transactions and receipts will be in Sterling. The website offers customers the opportunity to view prices in other currencies purely for illustrative purposes, based on estimated exchange rates.
It is the policy of The Boarding Company Limited to offer goods at the most reasonable price possible, however, if due to circumstances beyond our control we deem it necessary to alter any advertised price, special offer or promotion, we reserve the right to do so without prior notice.
All recommended retail prices (RRPs) are those provided by the manufacturers or distributors of the products in question.
Price Match Guarantee
Price match claims must be made prior to making your purchase and also must:
* Be in stock in the other shop
* Be the same make, model, colour, size and season ie like for like
* Include the total offer, including bonus items or services such as our free or half price bags, grip tape supply and/or application, mounting of ski bindings, free SD cards for action cameras, etc.
* Include delivery charges
* Include delivery within the same time frame
Please note:
* Vouchers can only be spent by the person to whom they were issued.
* Vouchers can only be used once and cannot be extended
* 100% vouchers can only be used for purchasing the item for which they were issued.
* 100% vouchers expire after 7 days
Excludes:
* Auction listings (we will price match "Buy it Now")
* Products sold by private individuals and unofficial retailers
* Used, ex-display, samples and ex-demonstration goods
* Use in conjunction with any other promotional or discount we may offer.
* Situations where we would end up selling below or cost price
* Items custom fitted in our shop such as ski boots, snowboard boots, insoles and skis/ski bindings
* Retrospective price match requests for anything purchased in our shop. Retrospective price match requests for items purchased online will be considered, at our discretion, providing the request is made within 7 days of purchase.
All credit and debit card transactions must be authorised by the card issuer.
If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us or if validation of your card is not immediately available, The Boarding Company Limited will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of your order.
The Boarding Company Limited reserves the right to:
* Conduct our own enquiries into the validity of any credit or debit card payment and/or to use the services of an agent in so doing.
* Restrict delivery to the cardholders address.
* Decline any transaction or sale for any reason whatsoever without declaring the reasons for such action.
* Delay shipments until satisfied as to the authenticity of any payment via whatever means.
All items supplied to the customer remain the property of The Boarding Company Limited until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.
Gift vouchers can not be traded commercially and can only be used by the voucher purchaser or original intended recipient.
Gift Card
Expires 1 Year from date of purchase.
No change given; unused value will be forfeited.
Cannot be purchased using a promotional voucher code of any kind.
Cannot be spent in conjunction with a promotional voucher code of any kind.
Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced – look after them, they are like hard cash!
Vouchers can not be traded commercially and can only be used by the voucher purchaser or original intended recipient.
Gift cards can only be purchased on and redeemed on our UK site (Absolute-Snow.co.uk) and cannot be used on our International Site (Absolute-Snow.com)
Credit Notes
Credit notes expire 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be extended.
Credit notes do not need to be used all at once.
The credit note can only be used by the account holder it was issued to.
Lost credit notes cannot be replaced – look after them, they are like hard cash!
If you spend a credit note and return the goods, a new credit note will be issued. Cash refunds can not be given if you spend a credit note.
Additional terms and conditions may apply, as referred to in e-mail messages accompanying your credit note.
The Boarding Company Limited will not be liable for non-performances of our obligations caused by or resulting from industrial disputes or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company such as acts of God, riots, civil commotion, flood, fire, extreme weather event and legislation.
If by reason of such circumstances it shall become impossible within a reasonable time for the company to wholly or partly supply the items ordered then liability will be limited to the value of the items together with any associated delivery charges.
No liability is accepted for third party websites linked to or from or accessible through our websites nor do we approve or endorse the contents of any such sites.
The entire contents of our websites are copyrighted with all rights reserved and remain the property of The Boarding Company Limited.
Copying and storage of this web site for permanent use or incorporation and reproduction whether for new media or paper use is strictly prohibited.

Interlaken Competition T&Cs: November 2023
By entering this competition, you are allowing us to contact you with further marketing emails. This can be changed at any time by signing in to your account. Winner's details will be sent securely to the distributor once the winner has been drawn, in order to send the competition prize. Competition starts on 1st November 2023 and closes at 11:00pm on 30th November 2023. Delivery Policy
* We deliver to BFPO providing your parcel does not exceed 1.05m in length. We are not able to deliver to a military base if you do not use a BFPO address. If you provide us with a military or BFPO address to which we are unable to deliver for either of these reasons, you will be liable for return and potentially repeat delivery charges.
^ Excluding Azores, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Lithuania, Madeira, Malta and Romania.
Volume Surcharges
Delivery prices quoted are based on the weight of items in your basket. Couriers may apply surcharges to high volume parcels but we will contact you if this applies to your order. We reserve the right to ship your goods minus their original packaging in order to minimise parcel volume and to keep delivery charges as low as possible; we may do this without seeking your prior consent in order to expedite the shipment."
Acceptance of Parcels
All items will be delivered to the address that you have provided, and not necessarily you in person.
If someone else signs for or otherwise accepts your parcel, the parcel will be deemed to have been delivered and no claim for none delivery will be accepted.
If your parcel is delivered to BFPO, a block of flats, a university halls of residence, a house of multiple occupancy or a place of work it will be up to you to recover the parcel from whoever accepted it.
All deliveries must be accepted upon presentation by our delivery agents, even if you no longer want the products.
Refusal to accept delivery of a parcel will render you liable for return delivery charges which can be substantial.
If there is a problem with the parcel you are receiving, please still accept the delivery, ask the courier to record the nature of the problem and then contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue for you.
Re-delivery or redirection may be possible at additional cost.
Damage caused in transit can only be claimed if the damage is reported to the carrier upon signing for the goods
Delayed and Lost Parcels
Unfortunately it is fairly common for parcels to be delayed, especially for international deliveries due to customs enquiries, but UK delays also occur if couriers suffer logistical difficulties and during busy periods around Black Friday and Christmas. It is, however, extremely rare for a parcel to be actually lost in transit; parcels almost always get delivered all be it later than anyone would like. If you are concerned that your parcel might not arrive in time please:e:
1) Send Absolute-Snow confirmation of your delivery address and post code.
2) Check with all members of your household and all neighbours who may have taken your parcel in for you.
3) After we have despatched your parcel we do not have any information about your parcel's whereabouts so please contact the carrier which, in the case of Royal Mail, will be your local sorting office.
4) If your order is urgent place a second order online in the usual way. Should you only ever receive one parcel, ask Absolute for a refund. Should you receive two parcels, ask Absolute for a free returns label and a refund.
Absolute will declare an undelivered parcel as ""lost in transit"" 30 days after despatch. You will be refunded in full for any lost parcel but, with the exception of Royal Mail Special Delivery, refunds will not be issued for late deliveries."
Exclusions
These brands, Analog, Anon, Burton and Patagonia do not allow us to deliver to addresses of the EU or EEA. We can therefore only deliver these brands to Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden Switzerland and the UK.
Warranty Claims
The manufacturer's terms and conditions shall apply. Please refer to the appropriate manufacturer's website.
Most manufacturer's warranties cover faulty design, manufacture and materials but exclude faults or damage caused by impact, wear and tear, accident, neglect or misuse.
All warranty claims are at the manufacturer's sole discretion.
Any partially or wholly successful warranty claim shall infer no admission of liability on the part of the retailer, the distributor or the manufacturer.
Used and ex-demonstration items are sold with no manufacturer's warranty.
In the event of a successful warranty claim, the cost of returning goods will be reclaimable providing you receive returns consent from us and providing you return the goods using one of the delivery services we specify. This is available for the UK only. International returns costs must be met by the customer in all circumstances
In the unlikely event of a disagreement, you will be required to prove the fault lies in the design, manufacturer or materials used.
Manufacturer's warranties are in addition to and do not replace your statutory rights.
Returns
Returns Policy
We have a standard 30 day returns policy, allowing you to return any unused item within 30 days of purchase. Our Online Returns Portal is only available for UK returns which fall below the maximum dimensions for the returns option. Oversized items must be arranged by the customer. International Returns outside of the UK must follow our International Returns Process. All returns must use packaging in addition to the original packaging to ensure the product and its packaging arrive in a resaleable condition.
Package Deals
The return of items (such as a pair of snowboard boots) which qualified the purchaser to a package deal discount (such as buy a snowboard, boots and bindings to save an additional 10%) shall result in the forfeit of the discount unless replacement items are re-ordered prior to the return being made.
Items not available for return or valid for any post-purchase cooling-off period:
- Transit Bags: Snowboard, ski and wakeboard bags which have been used to despatch your snowboard, skis or wakeboard, cannot be returned, credited or refunded as they will have become used items.
- Customisation: If we customise a product to your specific requirements, such as the drill mounting of bindings onto skis, you will not be able to cancel your order or return the goods after work has begun.
- Underwear & Swimwear: Underwear cannot be returned for hygiene reasons and swimwear must have the hygiene strip in tact in order to warrant a return.
- Protective Face Masks cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
- Climbing ropes must be returned coiled and sealed in their original wrapping/packaging. Opened climbing ropes cannot be returned and will not be refunded for safety reasons.
Eyewear
For sunglasses, goggles and goggle lenses, returns will only be accepted if the original plastic film or protective plastic bag protecting the lens has not been removed. If you would like to inspect a lens, please do so by peeling back only a small corner of the film before replacing it.
Brand New Condition
All returned goods and their packaging must be in brand new pristine condition, suitable for re-sale to another customer. Labels must be attached to the product. Damaged packaging will only be accepted if the damage was the minimum amount necessary to open the package and inspect the goods or if the damage was caused in transit. If items have been worn or the customer has reduced the value of the product, such as scuffing soles or shoes have been worn outside, we reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund given or may ask the customer to pay for the reduced value of the item.
Lost in Transit
If a returned item is lost in transit, you will need to make a claim against the carrier.
Wrong or Faulty Goods
If we send you wrong or faulty items, goods you never ordered, or substitute goods you prefer not to accept, we will refund or issue a credit note to cover your return delivery charges providing you obtain our consent by email and use the return delivery method that we stipulate. Where we provide a free returns label, you must use this and no refunds will be given if you choose an alternative method. If the product is oversized and you have to use an alternative method from the one we provide, you must use the cheapest available tracked option. Customers shall pay return delivery charges in all other instances. We will refund original delivery charges (from when we first despatched the goods to you) providing you cancel your order within 7 days of purchase and providing the parcel was sent using the cheapest available option.
Website Help Centre Bot/Automated Responses
Please be aware that our help centre chat function uses an automated chat bot to answer our most frequently asked questions. Most of the time the answer will be correct, however there may be instances where the answer may not be correct, depending on how the customer has phrased the question. We do not hold responsibility for the outcome of automated answers and recommend speaking to a member of our team or taking a look at our Help Centre FAQs if you would like confirmation of the correct answer before making a purchase or return. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
When you purchase any electrical or electronic product from The Boarding Company limited, the sale is subject to The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. Under this directive, the Boarding Company Limited is pleased to offer it's customers a free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Customers shall be responsible for all take-back delivery charges. Alternatively, you may prefer to simply take your old electrical products to your nearest recycling centre. This will save you the return delivery charge and reduce your carbon footprint still further.

Private Information
No staff at The Boarding Company Limited are able to see any of your credit or debit card information. This information is held by Adyen, our payment providers. Adyen are the UK’s largest provider of online credit and debit card processing services. When we provide refunds to your card, we cannot see any of your card information at this time either. This makes purchasing online with The Boarding Company Limited's websites far more secure than any in-store, mail order or telephone purchase.
Transaction Security
All transaction information passed between The Boarding Company Limited's websites and Adyen is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers by Adyen are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing we pass to the Adyen servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Encryption & Data Storage
Once on the Adyen systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign’s Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data Adyen hold is extremely secure and is regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Adyen Links to Banks
Adyen has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is encrypted and secure and cannot be tampered with.
Adyen Employee Access
No individuals within Adyen are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Adyen systems only allow access to their most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your transaction information and customer card information is secure even from Adyen's own employees because their systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
