Absolute Ambassador: Lara Cabrera
I am 15 years old. I was born in the Canary Islands but have lived most of my life in the UK. I speak Spanish and English.
I love snowboarding and skateboarding.
I am part of the GB Park and Pipe Home Nations Snowboarding Academy.
I started skateboarding when I was 9 and loved it! When I was 10 1/2 my mum got me some snowboarding lessons on a dry-slope.
I first snowboarded in a dome (The Snow Centre) 6 months later as a Christmas present, and I was hooked!
I started freestyle 2 1/2 years ago and have already learnt so much.
I moved to Scotland last year to help with my training and love riding the big kicker at Bearsden.
I now train 5/6 nights a week and have made lots of friends. Everyone is really nice and I have a great time.
I love having the mountains only a couple of hours away in the winter in Scotland.
This year I went to the British championships in Laax and got gold in Halfpipe, silver in Big Air and Slopestyle.
At the English indoor champs in Castleford I came 2nd in U16s and 3rd in overall.
I am hoping to have quite a few weeks in Austria this winter to help my development further.
For anyone starting out, one thing I would say is never let anyone tell you you cant do something, believe in yourself and keep pushing forward!
