Absolute Ambassador: André Saudan

My name is André Saudan, I grew up between Melbourne and Chamonix, but am now living in Chamonix all year round.

A snowboard for my 13th Birthday is when everything kicked off. I was instantly hooked and snowboarding every weekend at Mt. Buller in Australia where we were mainly riding park, but when I got to Chamonix it was freeriding that really sparked my interest.

Chamonix and the surrounding areas offer a seemingly endless array of amazing terrain to explore.

Every winter I have a list of lines I hope to do. However, a big part of freeriding is adapting to the conditions and waiting for the right conditions, especially on the more engaging lines.

Riding and discovering beautiful terrain, steep and technical couloirs and faces in excellent conditions is what keeps me inspired.

Japan and Georgia are the next places I am looking forward to exploring. Visiting new place, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures through snowboarding is one of the many reasons I love it.
