When it comes to multi-day trekking, the Wechsel Tempest 2 offers an unbeatable blend of living space and all-weather protection with a low pack-weight and compact size.
Like all Wechsel tents, the Tempest 2 combines innovation with performance construction. The Tempest 2 tent provides great stability in poor weather conditions using a 3-pole tunnel design with colour coding for ease of setup. The front door of the flysheet can be rolled up completely to enable easy access and movement of your gear and unrivalled views in good weather.
The 20D Rip-Stop nylon flysheet features a double-sided, silicone waterproof coating with specially designed folded seams and a water column of 3000 mm to protect against water ingress. This offers a high level of waterproofing with increased tear resistance and UV protection. A 30D nylon groundsheet keeps the weight low with 5000 mm PU waterproofing to keep ground moisture at bay.
Inside the Tempest 2 you'll find room enough for two people plus kit, with space divided between a living compartment and a spacious vestibule offering extended living space - great for meal prep and added storage. Convert this extra space into an additional living area by using the matching footprint (sold separately) or by pushing the unhooked inner tent to the rear.
Protected Apex vents sewn at the seams provide ventilation and airflow between the inner and flysheets, helping regulate humidity and temperature. While the breathable and water-resistant nylon inner reduces condensation and offers light rain protection. A breathable and water-repellent mosquito net provides added airflow and improved ventilation without any unwanted cold drafts. Finished with internal storage pockets to keep smaller items close to hand.
