Impact Shorts

A good quality pair of impact / crash shorts is essential if learning to snowboard but impact shorts are also worn by advanced snowboarders keen to learn new tricks without injuring themselves, especially when riding rails or boxes in the snow park. The most important area to protect is your coccyx or tail bone because, when learning, falling backwards or even repeatedly sitting down can become very painful - you always seem to land on exactly the same spot. Good quality impact shorts will also provide protection for your hips, thighs and buttocks.
