The Vida Ski/Snowboard Helmet from Smith offers a lightweight in-mold construction and EPS foam one-piece design that looks slick, as well as being both lightweight and durable. The Zonal Koroyd® coverage offers lightweight, energy-absorbing, and ventilated impact protection.

This model comes complete with MIPS technology which reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection and injury prevention. This is done by creating a sliding layer between the outer shell and your head. During impacts, the rotational force is decreased reducing damage to the brain which is best to counter angled, rotational falls.

The Vida has been specifically designed for ultimate integration with all Smith goggles for maximum comfort and ventilation. The AirEvac™ ventilation system with 12 vents integrates with all Smith goggles for fog-free lenses and the ultimate visual experience.

The VaporFit Snow™ dial adjustment system offers 270-degree fit adjustment with the simple turn of a dial that is accessible even while wearing gloves. The Vida ski/snowboard helmet offers the perfect fit and ultimate comfort. The XT2® antimicrobial lining offers sweat-activated odor control to keep your helmet fresh no matter how hard you’re riding.

Helmet is comfortable and a fairly good fit. If I’m being fussy, the goggle clip does ‘flap’ a bit when skiing at any speed and you can hear the zip next to the ear clicking but only minor niggles! I was grateful for the MIPS technology when I hit my head falling on a black run.
