About the Smith Vantage MIPS

The Smith Vantage ski/snowboard helmet is built for the demanding user who requires the pinnacle of protection, comfort, style, and technology.

The Vantage features an Aerocore construction with Koroyd offering improved temperature regulation, increased airflow, and increased impact resistance. The combination of EPS and revolutionary Koroyd allows for more vents to be placed throughout the helmet without sacrificing protection or comfort. This means that air can flow freely through the helmet, helping to expel hot air and allowing cool air in.

Smith's Hybrid shell construction combines the best of a tough Bombshell ABS shell on top with a lightweight low-profile In-Mold shell for the back and sides. The Vantage offers complete goggle integration with AirEvac2 ventilation drawing heat out of the goggle for clearer vision.

The Vantage fit is fully adjustable with a Boa FS360 fit system. The 360° halo design enables tightening around the circumference of the helmet as opposed to only the rear. This guarantees a perfect fit maximising comfort and performance.

The low-profile, glove-friendly dual regulators allow you to independently open and close the 21 front and rear vents so you get the kind of cooling you prefer. The microbial Nanosilver performance lining and Snapfit SL2 ear pads are removable and machine washable to keep your helmet fresh and clean as is the goggle clip.

This model comes complete with MIPS technology which reduces the rotational forces exerted on the brain during a collision and offers superior protection and injury prevention. This is done by creating a sliding layer between the outer shell and your head. During impacts, the rotational force is decreased reducing damage to the brain which is best to counter angled, rotational falls.

great helmet fit me well and had space for me to add extra of ability to listen to music on the slopes by removing the foam in the side of the ears and replacing with the speakers. the helmets vents at the above were perfect to adapt on the french slopes when the sun came out and i needed some air i was able to adjust accordingly, when the snow was heavy i was able to able to seal them. the helmet perfectly latched onto my smith mag ski goggles too
