About the Sierra Designs Footprint Meteor 2P

The Meteor 2 Footprint from Sierra Designs gives your tent floor a second layer of protection against rough ground and wet conditions.

Footprints guard your built-in groundsheet against dirt and damage from rocks and other sharp objects. This tough tarp also helps keep ground-water at bay and offers a greater degree of insulation against frost and low temps to give you the edge when camping in colder weather.

Each Sierra Designs ground cloth is tailored to fit the corresponding model of tent which saves you from carrying any excess material. A great item to have when venturing into the unknown.

If you get the meteor tent, it’s worth getting the footprint. It fits in the bag with the tent so barely any weight or bulk. Main advantage for me is that on a wet/mucky pitch you can pack the tent away clean and keep all that mud on the footprint. In the past I’ve folded tents up badly and smeared worm-casts all over the outer fabric.
