About the Salewa Red

Considered to be the pinnacle of Salewa's rope design the Red is their all-around performer.

At 9.6mm in diameter, the roper provides excellent flexibility and smooth handling while not compromising on durability. To further the rope's longevity and performance Salewa has impregnated the Red with Dry Tech. A bespoke impregnation from Salewa that allows the Red to be more resistant to water, dirt and abrasion, this allows the rope to perform in all conditions from glorious summer sunshine to wet winter conditions. This impregnation coupled with the Ever Trust treatment provides the Red with extra durability. A middle mark allows for easier rope management and safer abseiling.

Despite its bomber design the Red has been constructed to meet the stringent bluesign® criteria, climb on knowing your rope hasn't caused any unnecessary harm to the environment. Rated with an impact force of 8.1kN with a maximum total fall as a single of 7 impacts the Red is a rope designed to dominate in all conditions.
