About the Rab Valiance

With certified goose down insulation throughout and Pertex® waterproofing, Rab's Valiance Waterproof Hiking Jacket is a multi-purpose winter garment that guarantees substantial warmth and weather protection.

The Valiance uses fully taped Pertex® Shield waterproofing, engineered to offer maximum protection from the elements and breathability with minimal weight.

A down-synthetic blend consisting of Certified European Goose Down and water-resistant PFC-free, Nikwax Hydrophobic Down™ keeps you warm, dry and comfortable in the toughest winter conditions, whilst Rab's exclusive Pyrotec™ synthetic insulation in the hood and cuffs provides the perfect balance of softness, flexibility and warmth vs weight. Pyrotec™ also maintains its loft in wet environments much better than down equivalents.

The Valiance features a helmet-compatible hood and can be stuffed into a carry sack when not in use, while an adjustable hem can be cinched down with a drawcord to reduce hem lift during high reach movement to prevent spindrift entry. YKK zip-protected pockets
