About the Lowa Randir GTX Mid

The Women's Randir GTX Mid is a firm favourite for day hiking, backpacking and short expeditions because of the phenomenal comfort, support and cushioning it offers.

The combination textile and suede upper is lined with Gore-Tex®, making it not only flexible but fully waterproof. A flexible and comfortable collar construction delivers a perfect fit.

The Randir GTX also features a robust but flexible Vibram sole, providing added support and absorbing impact on every step, alongside the inclusion of protective foil in high wear areas to increase durability on the trail.

The derby-style lacing means that you can also customise the boot to suit your foot shape perfectly, with extended lacing for optimal adjustability and a pull hook for expert heel fit.

I bought these a couple of months ago and have used them on long hikes in slightly wet and dry weather. I've found them really comfortable from the first wear and sturdy with good ankle support and nice grippy soles. They've stayed waterproof so far, although I haven't been caught in heavy rain yet. I bought them in my usual size, there's a little bit of space in the toes but the size down was definitely too small and I like a bit of room for when I do long days walking or want to wear extra/thick socks in winter. The fit is great for me and I haven't found my feet sliding around.
