The folding design features the Speed Lock 2 Plus system for quick and convenient on trail adjustment. It gives you 20cm of adjustable height and the highest locking force of any external system meaning it won't fail or slowly collapse.

Developed for fast-and-light alpine treks, the Makalu FX Carbon is equipped with the new Aergon Air Compact handle with extended grip for flexible handling across challenging routes. This grip has been optimised for comfort and control using special cavity technology with a combination of lightweight construction and large, supporting surfaces that meet all the ergonomic requirements of your hand. A rubberized back grip provides maximum grip and control when going downhill while an inclined angle helps your wrist to guide and position the pole optimally and contributes to safety over challenging terrain.

Leki's unique Lock Security Strap Skin 4.0 is light and breathable with an adjustable design and safety release. Low-profile trekking baskets give your pole grip in soft sand, mud, and other conditions. The ELD (External Locking Device) enables folding poles to be assembled and dismantled at the touch of a button. The special construction around the release button ensures even more stability. Folds down to stow snugly in the included carry case making it ideal for backpacks and carry-on luggage.
