The iconic Keen hiking boot, the Targhee III for women features updated styling and materials to cater for the modern hiker. A wide toe-box construction allows the Targhee III to accommodate a range of foot shapes thus making it an ideal boot for first-time hikers.
The upper of the Targhee III is made from a conglomerate of leather and performance mesh, the combination of these materials ensures a supple, lightweight design. The fabric is lined with Keen Dry, a proprietary waterproof but breathable membrane to ensure your feet stay dry regardless of the conditions. Moreover, the shoe rolls up to encompass the toe-box, to offer added protection.
The Keen All-Terrain rubber outsole unit is mounted through direct injection moulding forming a low-density EVA midsole that provides a high level of underfoot cushioning. The Keen All-Terrain utilises 4mm multi-directional aggressive lugs to provide traction on a variety of terrains.
Dual-density PU foam is fitted to the footbed for additional arch support for first-time hikers. This combined with both the moulded collar and cushion panel under the achilles results makes the Terradora Pulse comfortable out of the box. To ensure support for a lightweight boot Keen fitted an ESS shank, that provides structural rigidity.
A TPU heel-capture system offers additional stability and reduces the effects of heel lift, one of the primary causes of blisters on the heel.
The Women's Targhee III is suited for day-hikers due to its highly durable construction and metatomical footbed design that provides arch support throughout the course of the day. Keen Dry lined so your feet will remain dry whilst out on the trail.
Best footwear I’ve tried. Walk between 8-13 miles a day and nothing else keeps my feet as comfortable

I did not find them comfortable as the top of the cuff rubbed on my ankle bone.
I sent them back as they would have caused blisters.

Very good boots. Still they don't make them as they used to, but these are a very close contender to my current ones. Very strong leather panels, toe reinforced to feel practically steel capped (obviously it's not), very good fit and available in half sizes which I couldnt find on other sites or in shops. Fit is on the wide side for me but not a problem. Only things I wish manufacturers would give up are the round profile laces (never stay tied unlike flat ones) and lower ankle profile, compared to my old boots. Also I would have liked more lace hooks, instead of just one top pair. But still miles better than what's now presented as hiking boots (cheap synthetic fabrics, barely-there reinforcement, dreadful looks). It says they have arch support, although didn't feel much, again not like my old ones, but I will use insoles anyway so if you need more support, use ones with that. The boots look good and are really sturdy. I haven't started wearing them yet but they're really the best-made and best value I've seen in years, at least for me.

Very comfortable and waterproof. A generous size as I have a painful left foot and the sizing is very comfortable

Reviewed above good boots but suggest not fully waterproof. Application of Nikwax solved the problem. Keen are a go to brand as have decent toe box and true size fit.

Have had Keen Shoes for several years these are my first boots by them bought to replace my old Meindls
Lightweight but true to size and so far doing the job. Mostly walking on trails but uneven and boggy terrain too but no problems.
