The Keen Ridge Flex waterproof hiking shoes are the most efficient shoe on the market featuring high-end styling and materials to cater for the modern hiker.

What sets this apart from other traditional hiking shoes is the Keen.Bellows Flex system located in the upper just below the lacing. This area of the shoe is well known for tearing and breaking apart as it flexes and compresses causing friction from hiking, therefore over time this takes a toll on the construction. With Keen.Bellows Flex technology this area flexes like a bellow, reducing friction when compressed, creating 60% less energy to bend making each step feel easier, enabling you to hike further and longer.

The upper of the Ridge Flex is made from a conglomerate of leather and performance mesh, the combination of these materials ensures a supple, lightweight design. The fabric is lined with Keen Dry, a proprietary waterproof but breathable membrane to ensure your feet stay dry regardless of the conditions. Moreover, the shoe rolls up to encompass the toe-box, to offer added protection.

The Keen All-Terrain rubber outsole unit is mounted through direct injection moulding forming a low-density EVA midsole that provides a high level of underfoot cushioning. The Keen All-Terrain utilises 5mm multi-directional aggressive lugs to provide traction on a variety of terrains.

A removable PU foam is fitted to the footbed for additional arch support for first-time hikers. To ensure support for a lightweight shoe Keen fitted a Stability shank that provides structural rigidity and a TPU Heel capture system for additional stability, reducing the effects of heel lift, one of the primary causes of blisters on the heel.
