The Giro Jackson MIPS helmet offers excellent protection from impacts and a highly personalised fit at the turn of a dial for great comfort while on the mountain. Jackson's unique design enables better airflow and temperature management, a design inspired by aerodynamic airflow.
This helmet features premium technology to keep you safe in dangerous situations, one such piece of technology is the MIP system. The Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, MIPS for short, is comprised of two liners that are attached by an elastic layer. The MIPS technology allows the liners to rotate independently of each other when subjected to an angled force, this reduces the forces on the head, and in turn, reduces the potential for injury for ultimate protection.
The Jackson offers great cooling capabilities with Giro's Passive Aggressive Venting System. This discrete exterior vent design utilises interior channelling to create optimal airflow and temperature regulation. A TPU Brim Vent works as an entry point for airflow and the stack ventilation prevents goggles from fogging. While in movement or at a standstill, the Passive Aggressive Venting will keep you cool no matter where or what you do.
MIPS: Multi-Directional Impact Protection System: Provides more protection in certain impacts. In an angled impact, the elastomeric attachment system stretches to allow the foam liner to rotate independently around your head
In-Mold Construction: Fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell with the helmet's impact-absorbing foam liner. The fusion process allows for better ventilation systems, making In-Mold helmets lighter and cooler than traditional helmets
In Form 2 Fit System: Lighter and lower-profile than the original, and easier to dial in a custom fit in seconds — even with gloves on. An improved dial design provides up to 6cm of adjustment plus enhanced stability
Passive Aggressive Venting System: The discreet exterior vent design and interior channelling combine to create optimal airflow and temperature regulation. This auto-venting technology manages airflow and temperature while in-motion riding, hiking or standing static
Giro's Stack Vent: Developed based on research showing the majority of warm air that can cause fogging comes from the goggle's centre top vent. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the centre vent of the goggle helps keep it clear and fog-free
