The Elektra VTR is the sister shoe of Evolv's best-selling climbing shoe, the Defy, and it's a great all-rounder. Essentially the same shoe as the Defy, but just made to fit women's feet and in a girlier colour, it's a great choice for beginners but also for advanced climbers looking for a comfortable shoe. The Elektra is technical enough to smear the slab or grip an overhang, but comfortable enough for a day climbing indoors, or a multi-pitch epic.
The Elektra is bang up-to-date with Evlov's VTR (Variable Thickness Rand) technology. VTR is a new technology that makes the toe rand in differing thicknesses. Basically, high wear zones are thicker and more durable than other areas, this enhances the toe box structure and prevents toe bulge. It also means that there is less waste during the manufacturing process so it's better for the environment!
Overall, a great shoe that will stay comfortable from the first time you put them on but still let you climb hard.
Split Tongue gives maximum comfort and easy on and off
Narrow & low volume asymmetric shape
Variable Thickness Molded Rand (VTR) puts thinner rand rubber in areas to reduce pressure points and hot spots and thicker rubber in the high wear zones
TRAX® SAS outsole for friction and durability
