About the DMM Chimera Set 18cm

Meticulously designed to direct loads to its strongest points, your gear and rope will sit correctly in the Chimera's unique recesses. The Chimera is DMM's flagship lightweight clean nose carabiner.

A deep rope basket will allow for smoother rope action whilst extra metal placed at the nose of the biner adds extra protection against accidental gate opening when the biner brushes against rock. Its offset wire events out the load and also contributes to reducing the risk of gate opening.

The Chimera biners are constructed with I-Beam construction to reduce weight while retaining a strength of 23kN when closed. Ideal for trad and alpine climbing, you will hardly feel the extra weight.
