As a true alpinist pack, the Guide 44+ features the Alpine back system, the V-frame provides both stability and flex for the approach to the serac. Two padded foam stripes create a chimney for effective ventilation and the breathable 3D AirMesh is used on all points of contact for extra durability, this is vital for climbers as they need a pack that's close fitting with plenty of stability.
The shoulder straps have a contoured “S” shape; a rounded construction that conforms around sensitive areas and hand hugs the pack to the user. The stabiliser shoulder straps allows the user to cinch the load forward for weight to be distributed parallel to the spinal cord for vertical load bearing comfort, allowing for easy weight transfer on approaches.
As a true mountaineering pack, the Guide has a range of climbing specific features. Ice axes and ski/hiking poles can be attached to the backpack whilst fixing loops provide a place to attach extra climbing gear. You can comfortably pack climbing ropes with the detachable rope strap and a bottom compartment helps you separate your gear for better organisation. The rucksack also has an auto lock zip on the side for quick access to your content to save you having to pull out all your gear from the top lid.
Handy side compression straps keeps your gear secure when traversing but can also be used to hold your skis or other gear and the pack is compatible with hydration systems up to 3 litres so you can keep yourself hydrated during your expeditions, climbs etc. The lid of the rucksack is detachable which also contains extra pockets and the pack can be increased by a further 8 litres of volume so you won't need to leave anything behind for your trip.
