in hostile conditions across the globe as a proving ground for garment design. Montane supplies the British Antarctic Survey and British Mountain Rescue Teams. Professionals who demand the toughest credentials from their clothing and equipment choose Montane. Founded by Chris Roff and Jake Doxat in 1993, Montane kicked things off with their 'Extreme' line of products in 1997 which remains a staple of their collection to this very day. Montane further enhanced its collection of outdoor gear by launching its trail-running VIA Trail Series® in 2014 and two years later, received a Gore-Tex license which allowed them to fuse their products with GTX tech for the first time. With the introduction of eVent, an extremely breathable membrane, Montane revolutionised mountaineering and rain shell performance. Not only are Montane's jackets and pants waterproof and breathable to an exceptional level, but they are also lightweight for fast-paced, precise and performance-orientated individuals. As their inventory has expanded, similar innovations can now be found in their technical base layers, tops, and fleeces.
