The Capitan is an ultra-durable workhorse helmet from Black Diamond that is ideal for any type of climbing, from alpine expeditions to trad cragging.

The Capitan contains a sleek, cradle fit to provide all-day comfort, whilst your head will be impeccably protected thanks to Black Diamond's engineering. The helmet contains EPP foam and an EPS foam puck fused together to form a 2-piece ABS shell construction, whilst added coverage on both the sides and back keeps you extra safe.

The added MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) technology. The MIPS system is designed to protect against the rotational motion (or kinematics) transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head. This added protection system has been proven to reduce the rotational violence to the brain by absorbing and redirecting oblique impacts to the helmet.

The ventilation provided from the Black Diamond Capitan helmet allows substantial airflow to keep you cool on hot days and hardcore ascents. The helmet also contains a ratchet adjuster with moulded push buttons at the back and the ratcheting suspension tucks away for easy storage and transportation.

Headlamp clips and an elastic keeper also allow you to secure a head torch.
