The Copper Spur HV2 Expedition tent takes the award-winning Big Agnes Copper Spur HV and adds a bomber construction for 3+ season optimisation.
The 4-way high-volume hub design delivers increased strength and useable interior volume while larger diameter DAC poles are used to handle mountain winds and snow loading. A breathable nylon inner adds an extra layer of protection against the elements while the flysheet uses Dominico® undyed polyester ripstop made from high tenacity yarns with increased tear strength.
The 2 door design provides hassle-free access on either side while windows in the door panels feature two closure options: mesh for ventilation or nylon for complete closure.
The freestanding dome design is quick to pitch with room enough for two persons and kit with a vestibule on either side for added gear storage. Interior guylines let you brace for windy conditions without venturing outside while a large closable ceiling window/vent offers venting as well as an optional storage area. A single fly vent directs airflow to manage condensation in humid climates.
On the outside, dual, equalized Dyneema guylines offer stability and strength in high winds while oversized grip zippers, glove-friendly toggles, and buckles are designed for utmost efficiency when pitching in exposed terrain.
All seams are taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (no PVC or VOCs). Flysheet is silicone-treated with 1200mm waterproof PU coating plus an additional coating for increased tear strength and UV resistance. Floor features a beefed-up nylon taffeta with 10,000mm waterproof PU coating. Footprint (available separately) offers increased protection and allows for a Fast Fly setup for ultralight camping trips.
With a trail weight of just 2.10 kg and a packed size of 20 x 46cm the Copper Spur HV Expedition tent makes for a relatively lightweight and compact alpine shelter for adventurers looking for practical comfort and full weather protection for cold weather and alpine camping.
