Freestyle skis tend to be shorter and lighter than other skis with the tips curved up at both ends for traveling backwards as well as forwards. Some freestyle skis have a positive tail camber to maximize grip in the icy conditions of a terrain park or half pipe whilst others may use a rocker profile in the tail, to provide greater fluidity and agility during tricks and maneuvers.
